I made a small pillow that tells about all of the photos. Plus I added a little love note. While it is common to have these items on the back of the quilt, I thought the quilt might get very dirty if all of Mom's friends were continually touching it. I then made the photos the center of stars. However, I did not check well enough that they were square. Once made, I assembled them into this first attempt. It had too many problems to fix. I then ripped the whole thing apart. Either adjusted the block to square or made a new one if it was really awful. Then I experimented with a few different layouts. I think the struggle was worth it. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to send it, US post or UPS? Any suggestions?
